j mo d and self fantasy have been making music together for twenty years playing everything from touchtone phones to flushing toilets to bowed dobro. After a near decade hiatus the two musicians met up again in the self fantasy studio in Tarano, Italy and caught up on some backlogged music-making. The songs here are the sum of two evening sessions: one in June of 2012 and the other in October 2012. All songs except Ghost, were created on the spot and are of a moment--aural artifacts of one time, place. They are songs that employ play, inspiration and chance. They are encounters never to be repeated or duplicated, captured instances of song.
j mo d is a poet and musician. He lives on the island of Martha's Vineyard. He channels his song lyrics through his alter ego two bum leg.
